Patrick Ramirez, a Salt Lake City comic that moved to LA almost two years ago returned to do a couple of shows at Club at 50 West this past week. Jason was able to do a few shows with him, so they recorded this short episode of Stupid Questions. Ramirez was formerly was a cohost on Ol’ Ute Radio at the University of Utah (K-UTE Radio) which is now on Earwholemedia.com. Ramirez is the person that introduced Jason and Sascha (the producer of every podcast on the Earwholemedia.com).
He is one of the reasons that Stupid Questions is a podcast. So please sit back and enjoy this episode. They talk about Patrick’s move to LA and some of the best and worst places he has performed since moving. They also cover who would be the best person from American Idol to drive around to appointments and random errands, all of this and more on this episode of Stupid Questions.
The show begins with Sascha Blume and Brittany Johnson exposing Johnny McKeon’s ignorance and inexperience about the Vietnamese dish Pho. The conversation drifts to dating and the state of casual relationships in a post Tinder era and what Johnny considers an expensive “date.”

If you have ever seen Marcus live you have seen someone who appears larger than life on stage!
His energy and his ability to make a show unique and personal to those attending, make him stand out to me as not only a funny comic, but a fun performer that can transform a night of laughs into something more memorable. Marcus is a powerhouse of a performer.
Marcus is sharp, fun, and always delivers! Go see him live, you won’t regret it. He is all of this and he is the guest on this episode of Stupid Questions.
Marcus and Jason talk about collecting toys/figures/collectables, Wiseguys Comedy Club, the successes Marcus has had over the years, and how he is still happy to be able to perform live comedy.
Marcus talks a lot of what happened behind the scenes the year he was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He talks about regrets, learning and growing as a comic/performer and about how important it is to live in the moment, feel it, and soaking it in.
Give this episode a listen, it is a great one. Then go get tickets to see Marcus live.
Emmett Montgomery is a beautiful man. He was kind enough to invite Jason into his brother’s home in Salt Lake City to record this episode Stupid Questions. Jason and Emmett talk about everything from stand-up comedy and producing shows to festivals and feminism. The sum of this conversation is that Emmett Montgomery is a beautiful man.
He proves to Jason that not only is he a giver of hope, but also can take that hope right away. Emmett has a heart of gold and it shows in this episode. Give it a listen and check out Emmett online or if he is every in your city don’t miss seeing his comedy. He is hilarious and has very unique voice in comedy.
Once again we have some great guests on the show, Stuart Thompson and Krystal “The Pistol” two comics in from LA stop by and get on the mics. In classic Stupid Questions form we start talking about a subject and it quickly turns into something else. We talk about how you shouldn’t get to know your neighbors anymore, but then it quickly changes to maybe we should all just talking with our neighbors. Knowing your neighbors is a good way to all be on the same page with social issues. Also in this episode Stuart give my apartment the best name ever, “Helter Shelter.” Check out this episode it was a lot of fun talking with Krystal and Stuart.

Stupid Questions is back with an old guest but new episode! Minka returns to the show. Minka has been friends with Jason for almost seven years. Minka was on the second episode ever of Stupid Questions, where we talked about Minka being Trans.
The purpose of this episode was to further talk about being transgender and the stupid ‘bathroom laws,’ and other difficulties that the LGBTQ community has to deal with, but we ended up mostly not talking about that!
We just had a fun conversation about C-sections, C-section scars, people against birth by unnatural means. It was a hoot!
We did get to talking about the ‘bathroom laws,’ and about issues that the trans community face that the majority of society isn’t aware of. We also catch up a bit with Minka, talk about her YouTube channel, gaming, and a bit of love and kink.
Minka is a sweetheart. It’s always great when I am able to see her. I will be getting her back on the show again soon. Check out this episode, it’s longer than normal, but I didn’t even want to stop when we did. Thanks for listening.
